Christmas Eve Communion

While there won’t be a ‘Midnight Communion’ in any of the four church buildings of the Pastorate on Christmas Eve, the churches are not ‘closed’ as we can celebrate wherever we are. This year we have a wonderful resource from The United Reformed Church in the form of a pre-recorded communion service for Christmas Eve led by Revd Simon Walkling. If you want to celebrate at the ‘traditional’ time you might use this from 11:30pm onwards on Christmas Eve – but if you would prefer an earlier start that’s fine, just listen, and pray and sing along whenever is best. Hopefully you will have some bread and wine (or other appropriate symbols for the communion) close at hand. Join in, knowing that you are not alone – you are joining with Christians around the world.

May God bless you with peace and joy this Christmas!
